性质描述:

浅黄色流动性粉末。熔点450℃，分解温度在450℃以上。相对密度2.66，溴含量66%。在各种溶剂中溶解度为（克/100克溶剂，25℃）：在丙酮、苯、邻二氯苯、二甲苯甲酰胺中均在0.05以下，在棉子油中为0.015，在水中为0.002。

生产方法:

以四溴苯酐、甲醇、乙二胺为原料，经两步合成制得。先将四溴苯酐在甲醇中进行加热回流反应。得四溴邻苯二甲酸单甲酯。然后，加乙二胺甲醇溶液，继续进行回流反应，反应完后，冷却，过滤，干燥，得白色结晶状乙撑二铵双（四溴邻苯二甲酸单甲酯），再在直空及136℃下加热较长时间，即得乙撑双（四溴邻苯二甲酰胺）。

用途:

本品是国外近期开发的添加型阻燃剂，兼有优良的光、热稳定性，不挥发，无臭，不析出，而且不影响制品的电性能。可用于高抗冲聚苯乙烯、聚丙烯、聚乙烯、热塑性聚酯、尼龙、乙丙共聚物以及聚碳酸酯等高分子材料。
