性质描述:

无色或几乎无色的粘稠液体。沸点140℃（5.3千帕），120℃（2.0千帕），82-84℃（106帕），相对密度1.2463（20/4℃），折光率1.5479。1克本品可溶于13毫升水并同时分解，生成二硫化物。溶于乙醇、甲醇、苯甲酸及植物油。有类似的葱蒜样的气味。在空气中易氧化，在乙醇中密封可长期保存。

生产方法:

由丙烯醇经加成、巯化而得。

用途:

本品为解毒药，主要用于含砷或含汞毒物的解毒，也可用于某些重金属（如铋、锑、镉等）的中毒。2，3-二巯基丙醇与路易斯气反应，生成稳定、不溶而无毒的砷化合物。因此被称为英国抗路易斯气剂。与二巯基丙醇解毒作用相似的品种是二巯基丁二酸钠（C4H4Na2O4S2）。这是我国创制的新解毒药，解毒效力比二巯基丙醇强，且毒性较小。二巯基丙醇对鼠皮下注射LD50为86.7毫克/公斤。
