性质描述: 淡黄色针状或片状结晶。熔点180-181℃，沸点140-142℃（66.7-133Pa）。溶于苯、甲苯、乙醇，不溶于水。
生产方法: 由蒽醌与甲基碘化镁反应生成9,10-二甲基-9,10-二羟基蒽，再在乙酸、锌粉和硫脲存在下脱羟基即得该品。
用途: 用于有机合成。
