生物活性

Galactofucan (Fucogalactan) is a sulfated polysaccharide. Galactofucan can be extracted from brown seaweedSaccharina longicruriswith anticoagulant, anti-tumor, anti-thrombosis, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. Galactofucan shows antiviral activities toHSV-1andHSV-2withIC₅₀s of 0.76 and 1.34 μg/mL, respectively. Galactofucan can be used for the research ofcancerand inflammation^[1]^[2].

(In Vitro)

Galactofucan (0-100 μg/mL; 48 h) shows antiviral activities towards HSV-1 and HSV-2 with IC₅₀s of 0.76 and 1.34 μg/mL, respectively^[1].

体内研究
(In Vivo)

Galactofucan (10-100 mg/kg; i.p. once) (extracted fromAgaricus bisporus) shows anti-inflammatory activity^[2].

Animal Model:	Male Swiss mice with acetic acid intraperitoneal injection^[2]
Dosage:	10, 30 and 100 mg/kg
Administration:	Intraperitoneal injection; 10-100 mg/kg once
Result:	Repressed acetic acid-induced abdominal constriction, inhibited leukocytes migration and peritoneal capillary permeability.
