D-Cl-amidine is an effective and highly selective PAD1 inhibitor. D-Cl-amidine has a good correlation and no obvious toxicity.

D-D-Cl-amidine (200-400μM) can effectively reduce the cell viability of MDA-MB-231 cells . D-Cl-amidine increased the activity of caspase 3, indicating that inhibition of PAD1 resulted in increased apoptosis.

D-Cl-amidine administered intravenously at a dose of 2.5 mg / kg was still detected at a concentration of approximately 21 nM in serum after 2 h and 4 h at a concentration of approximately 10 nM. Intraperitoneal injection of D-Cl-amidine at a dose of 10 mg / kg was still observed at a concentration of approximately 10 nM at 4 h.
